Muhammara is a dip made of grilled peppers and walnuts, and it is soooo good! A little smokey, nutty, sweet and sour. It is fantastic piled on grilled bread! You are going to love it, guaranteed! Enjoy!

  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 garlic clove large
  • 100 g walnuts (100g ≈ 1 dl)
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1/2 red chilis
  • 1 pinch cumin, ground
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 tsp pomegranate syrup
  • 1 slice good bread dry
  1. Grill the paprika until the skin is completely black, then place in a plastic bag or a small airtight container. Once cooled remove the charred skin and the seeds from the paprika.
  2. Place all of the ingredients into a kitchen blender, and pulse until well blended but still with a chunky texture. Season if desired and transfer to a beautiful serving dish. Done!
Recipe Notes

Tips: The pomegranate syrup is a common ingredient I Arabic cuisine. It is a very sweet and sour syrup. You can buy it Arabic food stores. Otherwise substitute it with dark syrup and a twist of lemon juice.
