Asian broccoli with sesame

This broccoli dish looks great, tastes great, and especially compliments all Asian dishes. It is so fast and easy to do, I am sure you will make this many times. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 250 g broccoli
  • 2 1/2 tsp white wine vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger, fresh finely grated
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 pinch salt

  1. Spread the sesame seeds on an oven dish and bake in the oven at 180°c for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Cut the broccoli into florets and steam for 1-2 minutes, then cool under cold running water. Shake off the excess water and leave to stand 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, blend the vinegar, sugar, ginger, sesame and salt.
  4. Gently stir the broccoli into the marinade, and let stand 10-15 minutes. Now stir in the roasted sesame seeds and serve.
